Whether you own your own lot, need to purchase a lot, want to build a custom home or start a special project in your present home, we can guide you through the process and make the vision a reality. We’ll listen to your ideas and your concerns and help you make decisions regarding style, design, expenses, deadlines and more. Many important areas will be reviewed.
Site/Lot Assessment
What kind of dirt are we building on? Where is the perfect site location? Will it fulfill your wants and needs for a view, sun garden, pool, play area or outdoor living space. Together, we will look at the property to determine all of the possibilities
Architectural Planning
We’ll guide you through the architectural selection process assuring that your home will follow the community or district guidelines. Partner with one of our skilled architects, add your own thoughts and inspirations, and the possibilities are limitless.
Interior Design Services
With your plans complete, we will assist you with your interior finish selections. We offer our clients flexibility and personal service. By working with a professional to discuss essential requirements and your personal vision, you will be introduced to style and design that will reflect the way you want to live.
Budget
Yes, we need to know what our numbers are. Matured relationships with reliable suppliers, vendors and sub-contractors in the Atlanta market will provide us with competitive pricing. We will provide you with a target budget number and work within those parameters.
Building:
With your precise set of plans, your well-detailed interior specifications, and your intended budget, we are set to build your new custom home or start your re-design/remodel and make a beautiful impression.
Processes and Procedures to Expect
We will back our product and services with written assurances. “The Standards by Which We Build” will be a part of your Building Construction Agreement. In crafting your new custom home or redesign/remodel project we will use your plans or assist the development of a custom plan or modification.
A Written Builder Limited Warranty
After the completion of the project, a full one year written warranty protects your home or your other construction project on all workmanship and materials unless otherwise covered by a manufacturer’s limited warranty. First month inspection included. First year anniversary inspection included. Structural warranty included.
A Written Customer Walk-thru Before Closing
A scheduled walk-thru will occur with you and JR McDowell Homes before the final closing.
Your Service after the Sale
In the first weeks of living in your new home or redesign/remodel, it is normal that you will find other items that may have been missed on the walk-thru or that need additional service. A “Service Request” form will be used to address additional service needed during the Builder Limited Warranty.
Your Construction Schedule
As part of your Building Construction Agreement, you will receive a written construction schedule. Not only will you see the progression of the construction, you will also be given a timeline for decisions and selections to be made. You will be provided with written information regarding designers and showrooms to help facilitate the process. This results in JR McDowell Homes completing the project on time and ready for your occupancy.
